Emphasizing the Importance of Studying Science and Technology

One day in January 2018 the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the State Academy of Sciences again.

While going over all the research results permeated with the painstaking efforts of the academy’s scientists in the science exhibition hall, he said with satisfaction that today the science exhibition hall of the State Academy of Sciences gave him confidence.

After a while, he continued: It would be good to make our officials visit the science exhibition hall so that they can be proud of our scientific and technological force and convinced that they can overcome prevailing difficulties by their own efforts when they rely on science and technology; officials, Party officials in particular, should have a correct view on science and technology and work well to arm themselves with science and technology; if they are to provide excellent policy-oriented guidance, Party guidance, to the sectors of science and education, officials should intensify study of science and technology and be well-versed in them as required by the developing reality.
